Oh Monday, we meet again! How was your weekend? Mine was really good because it included girl time and coconut margaritas!
As I mentioned in this post, I redocrated my sunroom and while I only switched out a few key pieces, the new aesthetic makes the room much cozier. I still need to add some greenery; hopefully I’ll get around to potting some plants in the next few weeks. I think that’ll really finish off the space. But for now, it was perfect for a quiet girls night in.
My cousin came over Saturday night for some much needed girl time. She taught me this really cool hack for easy coconut margaritas, which I’m now going to share with you. Because when you learn a trick that saves you from squeezing a bazillion limes (or resorting to sour mix – yuck), you pass it on! The secret? Paul Newman’s Virgin Limeade. It won’t hurt your stomach like sour mix and it won’t hurt your hand like squeezing all those limes. Plus is saves a bunch of time since you don’t have to squeeze the limes or make any simple syrup.
Here’s the very simple “recipe” for coconut margaritas: cocnut tequlia, silver tequila (we did a ratio of 2:1), heavy splash of limeade, and a squeeze of lime juice. That’s it! We didn’t use any exact measurements, we just eyeballed it. Isn’t that how to best drinks are made? Add in some gossip and a cheese board and you’ve got my kind of Saturday night! What’s your recipe for a perfect girls night?
