The Week in Links Vol. 10

The Week in Links Vol. 10

We made it through another week. And for those of you in New England, we’re allegedly getting warm temps next week. I mean, the high 40s in May?! What the %$&*? Let’s just say I switched over to my spring/summer wardrobe way too early this year and have been living in the same two sweaters for about a month. So bring on the 70s!

What’re your plans for the weekend? We’ll be cheering on the Celtics tonight and Sunday we’re taking my mom out to dinner for Mother’s Day.

As always, here are my favorite things from around the Web this week:

Do you guys watch Playing House? If not, please go binge watch the first two seasons. It’s the funniest, most underrated show on TV in my opinion. It’s written, produced, and starred in by real life best friends Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham. It turns out that St. Clair has been battling breast cancer in real life and they’ve written it into season 3. She shares her story here. It totally made me love these two even more. They’re such a testament to real life BFFs!

I found this article on how Dove undermined it’s successful body image ad campaign so interesting. It’s definitely worth the read.

This might just be the perfect summer dress.

I also love Sarah’s dress in this post. Unfortunately it’s sold out, but her pictures make me want to book a weekend at Ocean House soon!

I’m happy to report that the jeans I bought at Old Navy last week came and they’re pretty flattering. So if you’re looking for a comfortable pair of summer jeans, I’d recommend them.

*Photo credit goes to this handsome man! (That’s my boyfriend, J.) He has a Web design business and is a budding photographer. He’s also a really talented musician. (And he’ll be incredibly embarrassed by this shout out.)

    1. It’s on USA. I honestly don’t know how I stumbled onto it, but it cracks me up! I’d take either 94 or 78 right about now! 🙂

  1. A fellow Celtics fan?! We need to be best friends, right now.

That summer dress is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely perfect for summer 🙂

As for weekend plans, I’ll be working 32 hours over two days and I’ll be on my days off. Fingers crossed I make it!

    1. I hope you get to watch the game before your 32 hours of work! Gah, good luck! I’m super curious how you became a Celtics fan from California?
